The Principles of Catholic Social Teaching

What this means for Us!

Catholic Social teaching (CST) is founded in scripture and includes statements and letters written by popes and bishops guiding us in putting faith into action. The principles of Catholic Social teaching underpin our Catholic ethos and are embedded in our Ursuline Student Profile virtues ensuring the human dignity of all in our classrooms, corridors and curriculum. . Through prayer and liturgy and in lessons students learn how Catholic Social teaching principles can be applied in their everyday living, learning and thinking. Students are encouraged to take opportunities to work for the Common Good of all through charity fundraising, for example Cafod fast days, donating to the regular Food Bank, run by our Youth SVP Team and Serviam and other Stewardship projects
